Personnel from the Unit frequently visit State VHAs for the purposes mentioned above and also for a subjective understanding of their area and scope of work, problems and prospects. The Unit also coordinates visits of personnel from State VHAs and their members to VHAI and other State VHAs.

Coordination of important, Programmes and Meetings

•Executive Secretaries Meeting
This is one of most important meetings which is held twice every year for sharing experiences, developing joint action plan on common priorities and resolving mutual differences, problems and difficulties.

•Study on NGO-PRI-Government relationships
The study is complete and due to be released after a high level meeting of all the partners, namely, NGOs involved in the study, representatives from PRIs, Government, CAPART as well EZE of West Germany who financed the study.
The study is expected to be of tremendous usefulness in understanding the dynamics of NGO-PRI-Government relationships for optimal coordination among these three partners of rural development.

•Mental Health
For work related in this area, the Unit will work closely under the guidance of the Division of Community Health Promotion. This will be a new field for the Unit for which definite strategy needs to be developed. Through this activity, mental health needs of State VHAs and Khoj projects are expected to be met.
