<b>Uttaranchal Voluntary Health Association</b><br><br>In order to strengthen the network, the Coordinator, UVHA visited various Member Orgaisations who appreciated this visit and conveyed their complaints. He informed them the financial constraints and registration problems of UVHA were the reason of its inability to provide them necessary support. During the year, UVHA followed up its Registration Application in the office of the Registrar of the Societies and also made a lot of efforts for garnering support from government, national and other agencies to further its work of health promotion.<br><br>UVHA organized community awareness programme on Vitamin-A and also for increasing the community involvement. CMHOs of the Districts of Almora, Haridwar, Tehri Garhwal and Udham Singh Nagar gave the full cooperation in implementing this programme. Most India, who supported this initiative appreciated the work of UVHA on this front.<br><br>UVHA organized one day workshop on Health Status of Uttaranchal on 10th November, 2005 at Kathgodam, Nainital with financial support from VHAI. This workshop was organized for the member organizations and other NGOs of Kumaon Region. 24 participants attended the workshop. The Resource Persons were Mr. Solomon Prakash, Smt. M. P. Singh and Shri Vinayak Mani. VHAI books were displayed during the workshop.<br><br>During the corresponding year, UVHA participated in various meetings, trainings and seminars which were organized by the State Government, Rashtriya Military College, Dehradun, Mountain Forum, Dehradun and other like minded organizations of the State.<br><br>U.VHA brought out a quarterly Newsletter called “Jan Swasthya Sanvad” and this Newsletter is very popular among the Member Organisations. UVHA conveyed the latest information on Government Programmes, FCRA and on Health to its Members through this Newsletter. UVHA also distributed HCAN along with its greetings among students free of cost.
