<b>Rajasthan VHA </b><br><br>During the 15th AGBM of RVHA, a consultation on National Health Programmes was organized on 18th January, 2006 at State Institute of Health and Family Welfare, Jhalana, Jaipur. Smt. Shubra Singh, Secretary, Family Welfare, Rajasthan was the Chief Guest of of the programme and she informed that the Government has formed National Rural Health Mission to look after the health of the women, children and weaker sections and this programme will be implemented in collaboration with the NGOs. Various eminent speakers took part in the consultation and presented the problems faced in implementation of the activities of NRHM.<br><br>RVHA had implemented a programme on Malaria Control, namely “Village Contact Campaign” in collaboration with State Malaria Control Society, Rajasthan Health and Family Welfare Deptt. The main focus area of this programme was the most affected 994 villages of Kishanganj of Dist. Baran, Asnavar of Jhalawar Dist., Dhariyavad of Udaipur Dist and Pokharan of Jaisalmer Dist. In order to get full cooperation of the Chief Medical Officers, Health Officers of the respective districts, they selected 10 trusted and good Member Organisations and organized orientation programmes for them. Health specialists, local leaders and Chief Functionaries of these organizations gave a detailed orientation about the Village Contact Campaign and also decided the date and time of the implementation of the programme. It was decided that the 5 member team of the VCC will work three days in each malaria affected village. The team conducted health awareness in the schools, among interested persons through slogan, Nukkad Natak, local song and cultural program etc.<br><br>RVHA had also implemented another programme in the districts of Thar Desert on request of Voluntary Associations and District Malaria Samiti. They did lot of advocacy work on this programme and appointed Health Workers in 300 villages of the Desert who created awareness and collected blood slide of the patients and sent the same to the Lab. Under this program, 20 Laboratories were established along with skilled Lab Technicians. On request of Health Deptt., RVHA provided the services of 9 Lab Technicians, who are posted at the CHC and PHC of Jaisalmer Dist.<br><br>RVHA in collaboration with Rajasthan Malaria Control Society implemented the Larva Control Activities in the villages of Western Rajasthan. RVHA through its Member Organisations successfully implemented this programme. Under this programme, they delivered Tomophas in the Storages of drinking water of 232 villages of Jaisalmer and 60 villages of Jodhpur.<br><br>RVHA implemented various other programmes which are given below:<br>1) Collection of blood samples and testing of the patients suffering from fever in the Western Districts of Rajasthan. A total of 8031 blood samples were collected and examined.<br>2) Launching of RVHA Website, “www.healthdatasharing.org” on the health status of Rajasthan. The website is very popular among the people.<br>3) RVHA was selected Mother NGO for the districts of Bansvara and Dungarpur. Through its Field NGOs, the MNGO will provide the services of Reproductive Child Health in the under-served and un-served areas which are being allotted to them.
