<b>Chhattisgarh Voluntary Health Association</b><br><br>• Telecounseling project was the ongoing programme during the reporting period, thanks to BSNL and Airtel for providing continuous support for the programme in form of toll free telephone lines. Through this programme organization could provide counseling to many clients.<b>• CGVHA actively participated in Rajyotsav organized by State Government for observing the creation of Chhattisgarh as a separate state. CGVHA exhibited a stall as information dissemination center on HIV/AIDS and literature on health issues was sold to interested people.<br>• Throughout the year CGVHA actively participated in the meetings of Resource Agency Network (RAN) and positively contributed in people’s developmental process.<br>• The CGVHA staff were resource persons for HIV/AIDS awareness workshop conducted by NGOs at state and district levels.<br>• CGVHA is continuing its effort to get a FCRA number to make it possible to get projects from international agencies.<br><br>After April 2006, in the new financial year, a workshop on disaster management was conducted in collaboration with the Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, and with the support of OXFAM, GB. This was attended by several member organizations. Simultaneously, a member contact and renewal drive was launched, and the first issue of the new CGVHA newsletter ANJOR printed during OCTOBER.06.The state unit of the Jan Swasthya Abhiyan and the Rural Health Watch has also become active, and CGVHA is actively linking up with them. Two workshops on the NRHM have been held in this regard, one in collaboration with the Centre for Health and Social Justice, and one with the Rural Health Watch/ JSA and Jan Swasthya Sahayog, Bilaspur during the later part of 2006.
