<b>Bihar Voluntary Health Association (BVHA)</b><br><br> BVHA organized training programme, supported by UNICEF, Patna on Capacity Building for Anganwadi workers of Vaishali district under Integrated Management of Neonatal and Childhood Illness (IMNCI). Selected Anganwadi workers of Vaishali district participated in this training. The main objective of the training was to create awareness amongst the participants on various aspects of IMNCI, develop their skill to handle IMNCI effectively and also to develop participants as change agent as well as service providers in the community to reduce IMR, Child mortality, MMR and morbidity. Under this, 162 Anganwadi workers were given training, so that, they will be able to deliver services and can act as change agent for development in their respective operational area.<br><br>The training was conducted in two parts. First is classroom session and another is clinical session. In clinical practice, participants using their skills treat sick children and young infants. Due to this, they gain first hand experience and confidence in using the skills as described on the case management charts and also practice good communication skills.
