Concept

Department of Family Welfare and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare launched a comprehensive RCH programme in partnership with the NGOs to reach the unreached in difficult areas of the country. The MNGO Scheme came as a new paradigm, and the National NGOs were designated as RRCs. VHAI started formally functioning as Regional Resource Centre (RRC) since January, 2002 with support from Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, GOI and UNFPA. The team exclusively working on RRC issues comprise of Ms. Seema Gupta, Coordinator; Dr. Dalvir Singh, Training Coordinator; Ms Anjali Garg, Project Associate, Information and Services and Mr. Satyapal, Project Associate, Administration and Finance.

The RRC-VHAI team has been involved in a wide range of activities for an effective implementation of the Revised MNGO Guidelines.

For the same RRC-VHAI is providing technical and managerial assistance to Mother and Field NGOs working to improve RCH services. The team has also developed a CNA format and sent to all MNGOs.
In line with the key premise of the MNGO Scheme i.e. ‘Partnership and Collaboration’ RRC-VHAI has been organising / participating in various State level NGO Committee Meetings and State Advocacy Workshops in the Northern States on a regular basis.
