This research project is a part of the continuing collaboration between WHO and VHAI. WHO’s resolve to eliminate the major diseases threatening human civilization is a strong collaborative process between the national governments, all stakeholders including the communities, NGOs, CBOs.
Strengthening the Health Information System of India with special focus on Tuberculosis, Malaria, HIV & AIDS related mortality data analysis
HIV & AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria are some of the important causes of morbidity and mortality globally and in India. There has been a steady decline in mortality due to these diseases in last decade. As per the Global Burden of Disease Study 2013, the age-standardized death rates due to tuberculosis and malaria declined by 55.3% and 18.9% respectively globally.
