Jogen Choudhury : Born in 1939, Bengal, Jogen studied at the Government College of Art and Craft, Kolkata, 1960, Studio of Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata, 1960, later went to National Superior dex Beax- Arts, Paris,1965-67 on a French Government Scholarship. He is known for his ability to successfully marry traditional imagery with the zeitgeist of contemporary painting, in a skillful blend of an urbane self-awareness and a highly localized Bengali influence. His most famous paintings are in ink, water colour, pastel and has painted in oil medium as well.
