Process of Implementation
The present project will be implemented by VHAI in collaboration with local NGOs in seven states of the country.

VHAI with expertise in research and development of IEC material having a vast presence at a local level in most of the states will be responsible for developing tools for collecting location-specific information on malaria control and kala-azar. Based on a careful review of the existing services to handle the diseases, VHAI will develop strategy and implementation plan for the state & districts.

The implementing partners will be responsible for carrying out community consultations using the tools developed by VHAI, carry out capacity building programmes for various cadre of workers and carry out active search of fever cases and ensure timely and appropriate diagnosis and treatment according to programme guidelines.

They will also be responsible for distributing and promoting correct and continuous use of Long Lasting Insecticidal Nets (LLINs) / insecticide treated bed nets (ITNs) and proper maintenance according to programme guidelines.
