| Voluntary Health Association of Tripura Observance of World Malaria Day 2012 |

Voluntary Health Association of Tripura (VHAT) as Sub Sub Recipient (SSR) of Intensified Malaria Control Program organized various program on the occasion of World Malaria Day 2012 on 25th April, 2012 to create awareness among the rural population to control malaria. These activities are supported by National Vector Borne Disease Control Program, Government of India, Caritas India, and Voluntary Health Association of India.
Activities Undertaken
- Rally in Sabroom, South Tripura: A rally on the occasion of World Malaria Day 2012 was organized on April 25, 2012 in Sabroom Nagar Panchayat. More than 100 ASHAs and CHVs participated in this rally with banner, PA system and placards. The awareness messages on control of malaria are given with the help of PA system. ASHAs, CHVs and CCs of Rupaichari and Bogafa Blocks were present at the rally.
- Rally and Awareness Program at Karbook, South Tripura: A rally was organized followed by a awareness program at Chellagang Bazar. More than 150 ASHAs, CHVs and community people participated in both the programs.
- Rally at Kumarghat: A rally on the same was organized in Kumarghat, North Tripura with the involvement of more than 150 volunteers. In the rally PA systems, banner and placards were used for mass awareness. The rally stated from Kumarghat Rural Hospital and after moving different places was ended at the same place. This was followed by a street drama and songs on control of Malaria. Miking events also organized on the occasion
